Usage Analytics
Usage Analytics is where administrators go to understand how a training program is performing. It brings together user engagement, session time, simulation completion, satisfaction metrics, and downloadable reporting in one place.
It is separate from the Admin Portal, but it uses the same portal session. Administrators open it from the portal, then use its own navigation and filters to review activity across users, groups, courses, and time periods.
What this section covers
This section explains what each part of Usage Analytics shows and how the numbers should be read. It is organized around the main questions administrators usually need to answer:
- Who is using the platform? See User Engagement for active, inactive, churned, and non-starter users, plus the overall engagement rate.
- How much time are learners spending? See Session Time Flow for total platform time, simulation time, mentor time, and per-user averages.
- Are simulations being completed? See Simulations Played for total, completed, and incomplete simulations with completion rates.
- How do learners feel about the experience? See Satisfaction Metrics for CSAT, confidence improvement, and survey response rates.
- What are the trends over time? See Charts and Time-Series Analysis for active users, churned users, scenario completion tiers, and most popular scenarios.
- How can the data be exported? See Exporting Data for downloading analytics data as a CSV file.
How to use this section
Start with Accessing Usage Analytics if you are opening it for the first time or if access is unclear. Then review Filters and Controls, because every major panel depends on the selected time period, user groups, and courses.
After the filters are clear, the remaining pages can be read in the same order as the page layout: engagement first, then session time, simulations played, satisfaction metrics, detailed charts, and exporting.
Each page explains what the panel measures, how the data is calculated, and how to interpret the result. Pages are self-contained, so it is also fine to jump directly to the topic needed from the sidebar.
A note on roles and filters
Usage Analytics is available to Company Admin and Super Admin users. Other roles see an "Access Denied" screen if they try to open it.
Most sections use the shared filters at the top of the page. When the time period, user groups, or courses change, the panels and charts update to match the selection. The main exception is Satisfaction Metrics, which always uses all-time survey data scoped to the selected user groups and courses.
